Q. What is provided?

A. Our prices are inclusive of teaching time, paint, glaze, brushes, stencils and sponges as well as a wide selection of bisque pottery, ceramic or glass tiles, pavers, backing boards and various other materials.

 

Hot and cold drinks and lunch can be arranged for pre-booked workshops.

 

Q. Who can do it?

A. The Red Shed has something for all ages.  Anyone can create a treasured masterpiece, from a baby's footprint or handprint on a plate or paver, to a child's artwork on a plate or bowl, to a poem or special message inscribed on pottery, or even a corporate team commemorative mosaic paving slab or wall plaque…, the possibilities are limitless.

 

Q. What if I need some help?

A. Pauline  will be there to demonstrate techniques, assist, advise and inspire you to create your very own masterpiece..

 

Q. What can I create?

A. An original, colourful and fun work of art in the form of a piece of pottery or mosaic piece.  A unique gift to treasure for a lifetime.

 

Q. Is it difficult?

A. No.  Ceramic painting and Mosaic work is creative, fun and easy and your design is limited only by your imagination.

 

Q. How much does it cost?

A. Ceramic painting

The price is inclusive of teaching time, pottery, paint, glaze and firing and prices range from $10 for a small butter dish to $50 for a large flan dish and large platters for $90

 

Q. When can I take my masterpiece home?

A. Pottery work is left with us once you have completed your design and painting.  We’ll glaze and fire your piece and call you when it’s ready for collection.  This usually takes about 2 weeks.

 

Q. What if I can't collect my piece?

A. For a small fee we provide a reliable gift-wrap and courier service.

Q. Can my pottery be used in the oven, dishwasher and microwave?

A. Your pottery will be dishwasher, oven and microwave proof.

 

Q. Are all Mosaic pieces suitable for display in the garden?

A. Some mosaic works created with pieces of crockery or other objects are not frost-proof, so they’re not always suitable for outdoors use.
